Begin of Will's life at Castle Redmont

A baby named Will was left at Castle Redmont's, the only information about this orphan was a paper saying that his mother died of childbirth and his father died as a hero.

Ranger's apprentice

At age fifteen the Orphan's at Castle Redmont can be chosen by craftmasters to be their apprentices. Will hopes to be chosen by the knights but he didn't get chosen at all not by one master.
But at the end of the day he was chosen by Halt the Ranger.

fist lessons

Will's first lessons consisted only of dong housework over and over

real lessons begin

After a few days of cleaning Halt began teaching Wil about the weapons Rangers use: a bow, small knifes mainly for throwing and a long blade for close combat.

Tug

Halt decided that it was time after he saw Will had improved in handling his weapons, it was time for his horse. Will who became excited was disapointed after he saw Tug his horse. But after learing about Tug he changed his mind and thought that Tug was way better than the average horse.

The picknick

Will's friends had planned a picknick so that they could catch up. But Horace(Will's bully) came showing up late and became angry. Will who still didn't like Horace started to shout back. And so the two began to fight, luckily sir Rodney came and ended the fight.

The boar

Will was practicing tracking with Halt everything was fine until they found a trace of a boar, boars were rare in this part of Araluen(their continent). So they alarmed the Baron who became excited, he organized a hunt for the boar. He needed one more person and found Horace.
Because there were three boars and not just one Horace was close to death if not for Will who saved him. Because of that they made up and became friends.

kalkara

At the Rngers meeting Will met Gillan Halt's former Apprentice. A few days later at the meeting everyone seemed in panic. After asking what happened they heared that a kalkara appeared a beast stronger than any being. Halt decided to lead a mission to kill the kalkara.

the fight

Halt was the only one left in the fight. While running for his life he searched for places to hide and rest. Luckily he could wound the Kalkara in the eye. Minutes later Sir Rodney and the Baron came with Will. Trying to save Halt, Sir Rodney and The Baron attacked the Kalkara. But they couldn't do a thing to it. Will remembered that kalkaras couldn't withstand fire, and took an arrow lit it on fire and shot it at the kalkara. The kalkara couldn't do a thing other than screaming and died.
