    women of the working classes would usually be expected to go out to work often in the mills or mines
    -in the early 19th century there was restriction on the age of workers , this led to children as young as 8 or 9 being led to work 12 hours or more a day.
    -working conditions were often unsanitary and the work was dangerous
    -if they were injured in the mills they would lose their jobs.
