President George Washington siged the Proclomation of Neutrality. Which lead to Great Britian impressing U.S sailors. By this it cause the war of 1812.

Alien and Sedition Acts
In the U.S in 1798 President John Adams issused the Alien and Sedition Acts. Many alien citizes didn't like the ASA, so they decided to create laws that opposed the ASA as a violation of freedom.

Tripoli increased their demands. Thomas Jefferson refused, so Tripoli issued a declaration of war on the U.S. After the war Jefferson increased the size of the navy due to the war.

Thomas Jefferson. Bough land west of the Mississippi River. Which grew an area of 828,000 square miles (2,155,500 square kilometers) in sizes.

GB was fighting a war against France. President James Madison signed a Declaration of War against Britain on June 18, 1812. 2 result to that was that the U.S gain more independent from Europe and began to act like an independent country. -
Tariff of Abominations
John Quincy Adams approved the Tariff of 1828. The Souh ended up paying more for manufactuaring goods, but lost money on the raw materials they produced.

Trail of Tears
Andrew Jackson helped push teh indians removal act through congress. 3,500 of the 15,000 Creeks who set out for Oklahoma did not survive the trip. The Cherokee people were divided. Some wanted to stay and fight. Others thought it was more pragmatic to agree to leave in exchange for money and other concessions. After the indians were removed it gave the U.S gain land.

Monroe Doctrine
President James Monroe issued his now famous policy statement called the Monroe Doctrine. The MD stopped European from trading. MD shaped the U.S. foreign policy by making the U.S. the main power in the Americans.
