The Black Death begun in Central Asia. It was spread by rats and fleas. The virus was called Yersina pestis. -

People try to win God's forgiveness
People, not understanding the biology of the disease, thought that it was a punishment from God. They tried to earn His forgiveness by killing as many Jews and people of other religions as possible. Thousands of Jews died during this time. -

The Black Death ends
The Black Plague had finished killing by 1353, but every so often it pops up again. With today's hygiene and sanitation, it is harder for a disease like the Plague to thrive but it still is not totally eradicated. -
