Honus Wagner enters the Hall of Fame

Pie Traynor inducted into the Hall of Fame

Pie Traynor was a excellent third basemen for the pirates. Helped them win a world series in 1925. After he retired he was a broadcaster for 21 years fir the Pirates.

Bill Mazeroski was up to bat in a 9 to 9 ball game. the pitch count was 2 to 2 so he knew the pitch would propobly be in the strike zone. He took a swing hopeing to get on base to have a good start to the inning, but innstead he got all of the ball and ended up hiting a homerun to win the final game 10 to 9

Roberto Clemente and the Pittsburgh Pirates are again underdogs in another World Series. This time they where facing the Baltimore Orioles. They forced a game 7 and in that game seven Steve Blass was the starting pitcher. He pitched well and along with Roberto Clemente's home run the pirates won the game 2 to 1 winning there third world series

The Great One dies

Roberto Clemente dies in a plane crash in 1972. He died trying to bring supplies to earthquake victoms in Nicaraqua

Clemente into the Hall of Fame

A year after his death in 1972 Clemente gets inducted into the Hall of Fame. Not only is he one of the best players in Pirates history if he hadn't of died so yearly into his career he could have been the best player in history.
