    Characteristics:
    The Third Estate wanted a new voting system--->They proposed to vote by head.
    The Third Estate asked for a more representative form of government.
    The National Assembly was created when the king refused what they asked.

    Tennis Court Oath
    The king locked the National Assembly so they decided to met at the tennis court in order to protest.
    The king,afraid of a greater revolution decided to form the Constituent Assembly in order to write a constitution

    This period supposed the abolishment of the ABSOLUTE MONARCHY.
    The Storming of the Bastille occurred.
    The Third Estate won and supposed some reforms:
    - Abolished some feudal privileges and tithes.
    - Equality in the payment of taxes.
    This supposed the appearances of the Counterrevolutionaries.
    Finally in 1791 the National Assembly approved the Constitution.
    Characteristics:
    - Constitutional monarchy
    - Limited male suffrage
    - The separation of powers

    The storming of the Bastille
    In order to Louis XVI maintained his power he organised a military coup.This led to a riot in Paris, where citizens attacked the Bastille on 14 of July, 1789 with the help of the national guard.
    This revolution in the countryside is known as Grande Peur (Great Fear).

    This attack was managed by sans culottes.
    As a result Louis XVI was imprisoned and the monarchy was abolished.

    Elections occurred and there were two main groups
    -Girondins->Represented wealthy bourgeoisie:moderate views, appointed Constitutional Monarchy and limited male suffrage
    -Jacobins->Represented petite bourgeoisie:radica views, appointed a republic and universal manhood suffrage.
    France was involved in wars with Austria and Prussia.
    France's defeats + the economic cost of the war created:
    -Attack of the Tuileries Palais by the Sans Culottes
    -Louis XVI was overthrew.

    -Dictatorship as new form of government (The Terror) also known as Bloody Reign.
    -Repression against counterrevolutionaries.
    -Constitution of 1793-->Universal manhood suffrage.
    -Law of Maximum> fix affordable prices over the products.
    -Robespierre himself was also finally executed because of the fear the people had
