The National Assembly people saw troops and thought the King was trying to break up the Assembly. So they raided the Bastille looking for guns to fight back. -

The peasants were still upset. They got mad and threatened to destroy Versailles if the King did not return. -

This is a government that was for all the people in the Common Wealth. -

The French declared war with Austria to spread the idea of the Revolution to the people. -

The radicals threw away the idea of a Monarchy and tried to start the idea of the Common Wealth. -
Radicals Take Over
The rads went and stormed the government and captured and then executed the King. They then made a new constitution. The rads still continued the Common Wealth. -
The Committee of Public Safety
This was made to stop the people form rebelling but it ended up being a very powerful dictatorship. -
The Rain of Terror
The Committee executed anyone who dared or is questioning the government with the guillotine. -
The Directory
After Robespierre died, the Committee of Public Safety was dismantled and they made a new constitution that promoted the needs of the middle class people. -
The Council of Five Hundred
This was made for the lower classes in the Legislative branch. -
Napoleon Becomes Emperor
Napoleon makes himself King and takes control of the government, he achieved this by making himself in the war ranks
