    Pearl Harbor was significant because this unexpected attack damaged and destroyed many aircrafts, battleships, along with killing a lot of people. Japan had a strong dislike towards America and was aware that Pearl Harbor was where America’s largest naval fleet was based. Japan took this as an advantage, attacking America early in the morning when they were unprepared, and had no choice to fight back.

    The Japanese invasions had a significant role in the World War Two. The Japanese had a long series of success. Following on from there, they continued to invade and expand their force. The Battle of Coral Sea was also significant, although the U.S lost many people and crucial weapons such as planes and aircraft carriers, they also managed to destroy Japan’s ships, planes and damaged large aircrafts. Although they lost this battle, it later on benefited America when winning the Battle of Midway.

    The Darwin bombings was significant to World War 2 because it was known to be the largest attack that had ever occurred in Australia. Due to Australia also being apart of the Pacific region, Japan was determined to take over the country.

    The Guadalcanal was a huge event; it was when America began a first major offensive against Japan. It was firstly known in the Solomon Islands. The Japanese were shocked and slowly outnumbered. This campaign was well organised, including great strategies which later on become victorious. Americans made a comeback with their offense operations, resulting Japan to eventually surrender the war.

    The two atomic bomb in Hiroshima and Nagasaki was significant because this is what ended the war. On August 6, 1945 America hit Hiroshima with a massive bomb that killed millions. The Japanese government did not surrender, therefore this caused another bombing in Nagasaki, and again this killed millions of people. August 15, 1945, The Japanese surrendered and World War Two was over.
