Ponyboy got jumped by the Socs
When Ponyboy stepped from the theater, he got jumped by the Socs. Socs was the abbreviation for the Socials, the West-side kids. They always fight with greasers, the East-side kids, and Pony was one of them. They wanted to cut Pony's hair, and they jumped him. Finally, Dally saved Ponyboy.
This event introduced the main characters, and the relationships about these characters and groups. It described the Pony got jumped by the Socs, and it means that this is a dangerous thing. -
The greasers met Cherry and Marcia
Pony, Johnny, Dally and Two-Bit went to the theater to watched movies. They met Cherry and Masia, and Dally wanted to dalliance Cherry, but Johnny stopped Dally to do this behavior. Pony and Johnny chatted with the girls, and the girls thought they didn't like greasers. They got along very happy, and Pony thought they were good girls.
This event described what happened about Cherry, and it caused Socs jumped Pony and Johnny at the next chapter. -
The greasers met Bob and Randy
When they finished the movie, they decided to drive them home in their car. When they went to the Two-bit’s home, a car coming down the street and it came to a half beside us, and Bob and Randy in the front seat got out. Drunk Bob was explaining to cherry and was provoking to greasers. Finally, Cherry restrained it, and she went home with Bob and Randy.
This event introduce the Bob and Randy, and it can explained why Pony and Johnny fight with Socs next time. This is a trigger of the fight. -
Pony and Johnny ran away
Johnny and Pony looked at the stars on vacant lot, and then they fall asleep. Until two o'clock in the morning, Pony woke up and ran to home. Darry was still waiting for him, and he was very angry. He hit Pony, and result in Ponyboy ran away from home with Johnny. They ran for several blocks, and Ponyboy was beginning to realize if running away was such a great idea.
This event is important, because it is the main reason that caused them met Socs. -
Johnny killed Bob
On the way home, they met Socs, and Bob jumped them with his friends. They shoved Pony’s face into the fountain, and Pony couldn’t hold his breath, then he fainted away. When Pony woke up, Johnny told Pony he killed Bob. Johnny thought they might kill Ponyboy, and then he stabbed Bob. Pony was terrified, and Johnny told Pony he should calm down.
This event is very important, because it changed their lives, and it caused everything happened next. -
They disguish themselves
Pony woke up late in the afternoon in church and found Johnny went to get supplies. Johnny brought “A week's supply ”and special a paperback copy of Gone with the Wind. It was a surprise that Pony always wanted one. To his surprise, they had to cut their hair in order to avoid the same as the description of them in the paper. In the other words, their hair labeled them greasers and they lose it. They were disguised. -
Ponyboy and Johnny ran away to the church
They found Dally at the Buck Merril’s place, and Dally gave Johnny a gun, and then told them to go to an old abandoned church. They hopped the train to the Windrixville, and then found the old church. They were very tired, and then they were all asleep.
This event told us they ran away to the church, and it connected the thing happened next, and it made them changed their mind. They realized the life is very beautiful, and they shouldn’t do that to make their lives terrible. -

One morning Ponyboy woke up earlier than usual, and he saw a spectacular scene which sunrise, rsult in he was remembering a poem he'd read once, "Nothing gold can stay". Johnny liked this poem very much, and he thought this poem wrote what he meant.

Johnny got terrible burns
They were sent to the hospital, and the reporters and policemen asked too many questions and got Pony mixed up. Dally would be okay after two or three days in the hospital. Unfortunately, it is serious that Johnny's back had been broken and suffering from three-degree burns.
This event wrote Johnny got terrible burns, and it connected to the next thing. It foreshowed that there would be something bad happened with Johnny. -
Dally came to the church
On the fifth day, Dally came to church to visit Pony and Johnny. Dally gave Pony a letter written from Soda and told them a thing that the police had been looking for them. Dally drove a car take Pony and Johnny go to Dairy Queen for food. Dally told them what happened in recent five days.
In this event, Dally brought hope to them, and he made them knew the things happened in recent days. Moreover, it caused what will happen in the church next time. -
Johnnt wanted to go back and turn themselves in
Johnny told Dally and Pony he wanted to go back and turn themselves in, and Dally was very surprised about Johnny’s decision. Johnny thought they could let off easy, and he thought Darry and Soda were worried about Pony. Dally argued with Johnny, because he didn’t want Johnny to get hurt, and he didn’t want the same thing happened to Johnny.
This event is important because this decision can reflect Johnny’s thought, and it illustrate Johnny starts to cherish life. -
The church was on fire, and they went to save children
When they arrived at the top of the mountain, they saw the church was on fire. Pony and Johnny thought they started the fire, and then they rushed to the church to saved church. Dally wanted to stop them to do that, but they didn’t obey his words. Finally, Pony and Johnny saved the children, but Johnny got hurt in the fire, and Dally also got hurt because he rushed to the fire to save Johnny.
This event is important, because it can prove that the greasers also very kind, they are good people. -
Turning point
Randy drove a car to found Pony in a gas station, they talked a lot about why they went to children's rescue and Randy didn't believe that is true, he just think Greaser is themselves who lived at the bottom of the society can't do a honorable thing like they did. They talked about Bob and Randy told Pony he didn't intend to go rumble tonight .Even though Greaser win, they can't “win”, they still suffering a poverty atmosphere, not like Socs can enjoy a good quality of life. -
They came to see Johnny
Pony and Two-Bit came to see Johnny and went in sickroom attempt to talk with Johnny and Dally. Johnny was still in critical condition. Dally was okey.
This event meant the Johnny was going to die, and his thought changed a lot. He didn't want them to go to the fight,because he thought fight cannot solve anything. -
Dally dead
Dally could not believe that Johnny had gone, he could not take it, and then he rushed to the outside. They got Dally's phone call, he said he robbed a grocery, and he would go to park to find them. They ran to the vacant lot, and they reached just as Dally came in, but it was too late. Finally, Dally was shouted by the policeman.
This event meant the Johnny was very important for Dally, and Dally got the result for these things, and he freed at the end. -
A battle was coming up
When Pony made their breakfast, Two-bit came to visit them and talked about the news, which Greasers save children in the school on fire from newspaper. The newspaper said Pony and Soda would send to the orphanage. Moreover, now that the big rumble was coming up and they could settle this Soc-Greaser thing once and for all.
This event told us the greasers became heroes, and they would have a bettle with the Socs, and it meant that their relationship would have a result. -
The rumble
Pony had a sick feeling in his stomach about the rumble and really don't like it. And then Pony was in the way home and met cherry and talk with her about Bob and the rumble. Until 7 o'clock The big rumble had finished and Greasers beat the Socs.
This event meant the relationship between the greasers and the Socs had an outcome at the end. They all changed a lot, and they all lost a lot. -
Johnny dead
Dally grasp the fact that Greasers had really beaten the Socs and drove a car take me go to the hospital to see Johnny. He was at the last gasp. They're too late. Before Johnny's died, and he said to Pony “Stay Gold”. Dally can't accept the reality and suddenly bolted thought the door.
This event meant Johnny wanted Pony to stay his character, and he thought the life was very important and beautiful, but he didn't have enough time. He wanted Pony can live well. -
The judge proclaimed Ponyboy was acquitted
At the hearing the judge questioned everyone including Pony,Randy,and cherry. The judge said Pony was acquitted and the whole case was closed.
The plot is very important why that is the outcome of the whole thing. This plot is absolutely necessary. -
Johnny's letter
The first week of school Pony was lousing up his schoolwork after the hearing.In order to got grade C,Pony needed a good semester theme. Pony tried to write that theme and just hunted some book to read. Finally, Pony picked up Done with the Wind and when he looked at that book he found a letter which Johnny wrote for Pony in the book. This long time of the week which Pony experienced. It changed the idea of Pony and has a new one. When Pony saw that letter wrote in Johnny, he recalled Johnny. -
Ponyboy wrote his homework
Pony called his English teacher to asked him that theme how long can it be. The answer is limitless, and then he sat down and picked up his pen thought for a minute. . And he decided to tell people what he experienced and beginning with his English teacher. At the end of the article, the author look for a new angle that wrote in the form of memory to readers. It beneficial that make the story more completed.
