Odysseus sends his men out to search for food and has to recover them when they eat the lotus flower (the forgetful flower) and didnt want to return home -
The Island Of The Cyclops
When Odysseus flees from the Island Of The Lotus Eaters he comes across this island. Here he finds Polyphemus' (a cyclop and also Poseidons son) cave lured by his cheese abd wine. The cyclops traps them inside with a huge boulder. Then the cyclops began to feast on his men two by two until Odysseus and four of his men blind Polyphemus with a burning stake and escape under his herd of sheep. -
The Island Of Aeolus
After getting of Cyclops island Odysseus and his men find their way to this island. Aeolus, god of wind, gives Odysseus all of the bad winds in a bag, his men then go against his order to not open the bag and opens it and let the wind escape -
The Island Of The Laestrygonians
After they manage to get away from Aeolus' island they come across an island filled with cannibles. The Laestrygonians was just a race of the cannibles that lived there that eat the greek. Only Odysseus and the men aboard his sgip survived -
Circe's Island
Circe turns Odysseus' men to swine. Odysseus is sheilded from her magic with help from a herb called moly that Hermes (the messenger god) gave to him. When Odysseus and his men was leaving Circe Finally tells hims he needs to go see the blind prophet,Teiresias, in the underworld -
THE UNDERWORLD!!!
Odysseus cunsults with the prophet Teiresias to ask how can he return home. Teiresias tells him and while he was there Odysseus finds his mother who had commited suicide in depression -
The Island Of The Sirens
After his trip to the underworld Odysseus and his men pass here. An island with women singing their luring song that try to reel in sailors. So they do not hear their beckoning call Odysseus filled their ears with softened beeswax and he has them tie him to the mast -
Scylla and Charybdis
Odysseus decides to sail for Scylla, a six headed sea serpent, rather than Charybdis,a gigantic whirlpool. He did this because he knew if he went to Charybdis the whole ship and crew would be destroyed.However if he went to Scylla six men (one for each head) would die. So Odysseus decided to sacrafice six men to Scylla. -
The Sun God: The Island Of Helios
They stop here and Odysseus falls asleep whie praying to Athena. While asleep his men once again disobey his orders and ate Helios' cattle. This angered the god and he threatened never to rise again thus leaving the earth to freeze. The Island Of The Phaecians
After leaving Calypso's island after many years he cones across the island of the Phaecians. The Phaecians accept Odysseus Into their home and Odysseus explains his 10 year journey to then during a feast. They happily give him a ride home on one of their nagical ships -
Building a Friendship
After returning home, Odysseus decided to make a deal with a cowherd and a swineher, to defeat the suitors that disgraced his home and bid on his wife. Along with his son Telemachus he puts the plan in motion -
Odysseus Returns!
When Odysseus return home after twenty years. He reunits with his mate and son. Soon, he discovers that the maids and the suitors was living in his home. With his rage anger he slayed the suitors and hung the maids, that dared partied with the suitors.
