First Date of Growth
On Jan 1, 1980 the ancient Nintendo DS Game and Watch was created in a series for the next decade. It told time and allowed you to play games at the same time, which was a technological innovation. -
The GameBoy
In April 1989, the Game Boy was the first portable game system that Nintendo created, and it proved successful as another forward – thinking technological innovation. It was the base of many future creations of Nintendo. -
GameBoy Advance
In June 2001, the Nintendo Gameboy Advance came to life. It basically was the third generation of the Gameboy. -
Nintendo DS
A few more generations of the GameBoy were created sleeker and faster than the previous ones to keep up with fashion. On Nov 21, 2004 the Nintendo DS was born; it was a more sleek, advanced ,and portable game system than the Game Boy as Nintendo kept up the pace with current technology, fashion, and increasing demand. -
First Point of Maturation - Nintendo DS Lite
A few years later, The Nintendo DS Lite came out and was the same as the first generation except that the DS Lite was cleaner, lighter, and more portable than the previous version, continuing Nintendo’s forward thinking innovation trend. This model was very popular and sold over 89.19 million units worldwide. -
Nintendo DSi
In November 2008, the Nintendo DSi was released. It is third generation of the DS line. It is lighter, has a slightly bigger screen, and the ability to take photos and even access the internet. -
Nintendo DSi XL
In 2009, another model was released, the DSi XL that was slightly larger. The latest DS model was released in 2011 and is the fourth generation of the series of DS. It is called the 3DS. It allows that player to view that game in 3rd dimension. -
Nintendo 3DS
The third generation of the Nintendo DS. -
Estimated Date of Decline
As seen in a sales chart, sales have not yet begun to decline and do not show any evidence of a decline in the future.
