Fireside chat
Eight days after becoming President, Roosevelt delivered an informal radio speech to the American people. They became an important way for Roosevelt to communicate to the American people. For example, it was helpful because Roosevelt insured people that banks were a good place to keep their money, which kept banks in business. This was something that benefited the American society. -
CCC
The Civilian Conservation Corps created jobs for young men, such as replanted forests, dug ditches, and fought fires. Franklin D. Roosevelt said it was his favorite New Deal program. -
Agricultural Adjustment Act
It was a United States federal law of the New Deal era which reduced agricultural production by paying farmers subsidies not to plant on part of their land and to kill off extra livestock. Its purpose was to reduce crop surplus and therefore effectively raise the value of crops.
I think this is a very important act because it raised the price of crops so farmers can earn more money to make a living. -
TVA - Tennessee Valley Authority
The Tennessee Valley Authority provided financial help for the people living in the Tennessee Valley at the time. This was a very successful and most famous projects of the time, and helped many people. -
Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) by Hailey Hammond, Gabby Harber, Shellee Lynch
The TVA helped the poor people in Tennessee with their financial problems. They helped with the regions business and farming. They provided ways to prevent flooding in the valleys and provided electricity for homes and businesses. They built dams and bridges for people to have jobs. We think the TVA really helped with the financial problems and the flooding problems. We thought it was really nice of them to build businesses, dams, and bridges for the people to have jobs and to gain more money. -
FDIC

Public Works Administration (PWA) (Bethany, Jonathan, and Danny)
This was a New Deal agency established in 1933 by the Congress, following the National Industrial Recovery Act. In the hope of promoting and stabilizing employment and purchasing power, President Franklin Roosevelt brought about the creation of this agency to administer the construction of various public works, such as public buildings, bridges, dams, and housing developments, and to make loans to states for similar projects.
The PWA was a helpful hand for re-establishing jobs after TGD. -
NRA
The Book Says:
Working with business and labor leaders, the NRA developed codes that were intended to govern whole industries. These codes established minimum wages for workers and minimum prices for the goods that businesses sold. The idea behind these codes was to increase the wages of workers so they could buy more goods and raise prices so companies could make a profit. Our Opinion:
We like it because it made the employers give their employees minimum wage. By:
