    The Paleo Indians arrived to the North American continent by walking over a piece of land that connected Asia with North America.
    They were the first humans to populate the continent.
    -Them settling down gave root to a new population and society to grow.This was the beginning of the growth for the Native American tribes.

    Pop Urban II states that non-christians don't have the right to own any land. This meant that European explorers now were able to travel around the world and colonize any land that wasn't christian.
    - Which with time resulted in the discovery and colonization of the North American continent.

    The United States ignores the agreements that's been made between the British and the Native Americans. The British claims the Native American lands east of Mississippi by the right of conquest.
    - One of the many acts of oppression the Native Americans went through.

    U.S troops felt threatened by Sioux (Native American tribe). They feared that the Sioux were going to destroy white men, and the troops were sent to Pine Ridge in South Dakota.
    Not sure about who fired the first gun, but the event ended with 300 Native Americans getting killed, mostly woman and children.
    - A horrible event that shows us just how poorly the relationship between white and Native Americans were.

    The Society of Native Americans was founded, an organization who was dedicated to evolve and expand the education opportunities for the Native Americans.
    They even spoke up for Native Americans in American politics.
    - The organization not only spoke up for the Native American rights, but also encouraged the tribes to look beyond their heritage and try to assimilate to the common society.

    Kateri Tekakwitha, a Mowak Indian from the 17th century was made a saint by the Catholic Church.
    - This shows us just how far our society (in the west) has come to accept and embrace race and equality, in comparison to how it was 100-200 years ago anyways.
