Presented by Dr. Michael E. Whitcomb, a 'feasibility' report was given for the med school- moved, seconded and carried. University should continue its planning in establishing the med school at CMU. -
Form of: Med School!
Medical School Program as well as the Medical School itself is formed.
-President is authorized to proceed with planning to establish a med education program/med school at CMU.
-President or designee is authorized to inform Liason Committee on Medical Education that CMU intends to move forward obtaining accreditation and initiate that process. -
Design, Construction, Funding
President or designee is authorized to contract for the architectural and engineering services to prepare design and construction for the HP building addition.
Project was NOT to exceed $1.5 million.

-Central Michigan University Board of Trustees approved the establishment of a formal relationship between CMU and Synergy Medical Education Alliance, Covenant HealthCare, and St. Mary’s of Michigan in Saginaw, Michigan, through its College of Medicine (CMED). -

COLLEGE OF MEDICINE EAST CAMPUS PHASE I BUILDING PROJECT:
-Planning and design for the College of Medicine East Campus Phase I building project for an additional $350,000;
-Funding will be from CMU internal reserves for future construction.
