Gemany's invasion of Poland was without a doubt a major catalyst of World War Two, Germany invading Poland was the action which caused Britain and France to go to war with Germany and their imperialistic ideals. -

Germany, Italy and Japan sign the Axis Pact in a declaration of their allaince to each other, although both Italy and Japan had been on Germany's side throughout the war, this was the first time they had legally declared their alliance to each other. -

Operation Barbarossa was Germany's attempt to invade Russia, it is possibly what lost Germany the war. Due to the harsh winters and the gross way in which Germany was outnumbered, this operation was a failure. -

The Nazis prepare for the final solution, the name given to the prcess of purging Europe of the Jewish people, the idea of the final solution was to transport mass numbers of Jews to extermination camps where they would be killed. This is a key event because it shows that there was yet another step in the holocaust, that the speed at which the extermination process was moving was only increasing. -

The first experimental use of Gas Chambers at Auschwitz Concentration camp. The Nazis camouflaged the chambers as showers and once filled with prisoners would gas the prisoners with Zyklon B. -

The Bombing of Pearl Habour was the raid in which the Japanese militiary bombarded the militiary base Pearl Habour with airborn attacks. Killing over 2000 people and destroying hundreds of American ships and plans. This attack caused America and Britain to declare war on Japan. -

The Battle of The Coral Sea was the battle that took place in the Oceanic areas between South East Asia and Australia, in the battle, Australian and American forces fought against the Japanese Navy. -
Australian Forces Stop Japanese Offence Toward New Guinea
Australian solidiers stop Japanese forces from taking Port Moresby in New Guinea. This is a crucial part of Australia's involvement in the war as it was one of Australia's first major moves against The Axis Powers that did not heavily invlove America or Britain. -

Thousands of Allied troops landed on a heavily militiarized coast of France in an attempt to reclaim France. This is a key date from World War Two as, even though it was not a major success, it was the beginning of retalliation from the allies. -
Hiroshima Atomic Bomb
In order to stop the war from claiming anymore lives, America did what is still debated as to whether it was the right choice today.
By dropping the Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima, Japan the war ended along with hundreds of thousands of lives. -
Soviet Army Reclaims Manchuria
The Soviet Union invaded Manchuria and took it from Japan, this was one of many Soviet movemoents the lead to the wars end. -
Hitler Commits Suicide
Despite his efforts to purge Europe of Jews and to spread his Nazi ideal, in realisation of his losing of the war, Hitler shot himself in his bunker along with his wife who also killed herself using cyanide tablets. -
World War Two Ends
With Hitler dead, the Nazis being beaten on every front and the bombing of Hioroshima putting an end to any Japanese efforts to continue the war, the war came to an end with the allies defeating the Axis Forces.
