1 Exposition- This event is part of the exposition because we are just learning about the story. We are learning where the movie will take place, who will be in the movie and this introduction sets the stage for the entire movie. -
Mufasa visits Scar
2 Exposition- This is still part of the exposition because we are meeting the characters. It is during this scene that we figure out that Scar is the antagonist and Mufasa and Simba are the protagonists. -
Simba vists Scar
3 Exposition- This event is still part of the exposition because this the first look we ge at the relationship between Simba and his Uncle Scar. -
Mufasa shows Simba the kingdom and everything the light touches
4 Exposition- This evvent is part of the exposition because it is setting the stage for the viewer. It is important for the viewer to understand what is and what is not the lion's territory. -
Scar tells Simba about the elephant graveyard
5 Rising Action- This is the first event of the rising action because Scar is knowingly sending his nephew into a dangerous situation, and it is from this moment that young Simba is introduced to danger. -
Simba tells Nala about the elephant graveyard
6 Rising Action- This event is part of the rising action because it is the first time Simba and Nala will go on an adventure together. -
Sarabi makes Zazu go along with Simba and Nala to the watering hole
7 Rising Action- This is part of the rising action because for the first time we see young the young cubs be devious. -
Simba and Nala ditch Zazu to go to the elephant graveyard
8 Rising Action- This is part of the rising action because it is the first time Simba and Nala go against their mother's wishes and lose their babysitter Zazu. It is from this moment that the cubs become victim to danger. -

9 Rising Action- This is part of the rising action because while the cubs are having fun; they quickly realize that this may not have been such a good idea in the first place. The tension is rising in this scene. -
Hyena's attack Simba and Nala
10 Rising Action- This is part of the rising action because for the first time conflict is presented in the movie. The young cubs are in BIG trouble when the Hyena's attack them. -
Mufasa rescues Simba and Nala
11 Rising Action- This is part of the rising action because while Mufasa was able to save Simba and Nala from the hyena's this time he may not be able to the next. This could also be a bit of forshadowing because it could be predicting that young Simba might have more than one encounter with the evil Hyenas. -
Mufasa has a talk with Simba
Rising Action- This is part of the rising action becasue this is where Simba truly starts to understand how dangerous the situation was, and this is also when we really see the bond between father and son building.
