After receiving an anonymous tip, the Nazi's raid the annex, and all occupying it are sent to camps. -
Transfering Camps
Anne and Margot are switched from Auschwitz-Birkenau to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. -
Typhus
Both Anne and Margot die from typhus. Their deaths are a few days apart, with Margot passing away first. -
Camp Raid
Bergen-Belsen camp is raided by Brtish troops. -
The End of Hitler... And the War
As Soviet troops close in on Hitler's bunker located in Berlin, he commits suicide. Only 8 days after his death, Germany surrenders, which marks the end of World War 2 in Europe. The only one from the Frank family to come out of the war alive is Anne's father Otto. A woman named Miep who helped hide the Frank family had saved Anne's diary. She then returned it to Otto, unread. -
The Diary of Anne Frank
Anne's diary, which she kept during the war, is first publsihed in Dutch. Today, her diary is one of the World's most popular books and has been translated into 50 languages.
