Hitler is made party Chairman of the DAP which has been renamed as the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (National Socialist German Workers Party – NSDAP). -
Beer Hall Putsch
Hitler and the SA storm a meeing held by the Kahr Hitler interrupted Kahr's speech and announced that the national revolution had begun. Hitler got the support of Kahr, Seisser, and Lossow and held the local Reichswehr and police headquarters but when neither agreed to join his force, Kahr, Seisser and Lossow fled, joining the opposition. -
High treason
Hitler was arrested for high treason and was sentenced to five years' imprisonment at Landsberg Prison. -
