This is the second stage of a butterfly. He is worm like and normally has a pattern or design on his skin. As he grows he sheds his skin. -
The Chrysalis (Pupa)
In this stage the caterpillar forms an egg like structure around itself in order for it to grow. These are normally brown or some dark color to blend in and hide from predators. -
Adult Butterfly
This is the final stage. The full grown butterfly emerges from his pupa and is ready to explore the world with his new wings! -
