Chapter 1- chapter 13
Ronnie, the main character, and Jonah are moving in with her father for the summer and this doesn't make her happy. While there, she meets a girl named blazed who's similiar to her friends back home. she meets her boyfriend Marcus but he makes her uncomfortable. she also meets a guy named will who she seems to be getting closer with. Although, she doesn't get along with her dad but the tension eases between them.

Ronnie starts talking with Will alot more. They go on a date and hangout the whole day. Ronnie later gets in a fight with Will because of his ex girlfriend. She is thinking about going back and forgettingabout everything but she doesn't know yet.

Will tries to resolve things with Ronnie but fails. Ronnie was too distracted to think how to go about things. Marcus, the guy who scares her and who's dating Blaze, tires to get close to Ronnie but she refuses and this makes him mad.

In theses chapters, Ronnie goes to talk to Will and work things out. they end up kissing and turming into an item. Ronnie meets Wills parents and Will has dinner with her dad and brother.

In this chapter, Will in a way compares Ashley, his ex, to Ronnie. he comes to find ronnie is a much better person. He gets closer to Ronnie.

Ronnie and will spend a lot of time together but they realize that it's almost time for Ronnie to go back toNew York. They run into Marcus a couple times and it's just really awkward because he's scary.

Ronnie and Will don't see eachother as much because of work and court. Ronnie gets suspicious of her dad and his coughing.
