The disease now called the "Flare" is spreading through the eastern half of the United states. It causes severe lunacy and almost zombie like behavior turning humans into canibals. The origin of the disese however is mysterious. And now it is changing and mutating. At this point it seems as if it will kil everyone on earth. "Mark" and "Trina" though are convinced that there is a way to stop it. -

"Mark" and "Trina" along with their freinds Alec and De-De are beginning to learn that they can only stop this disease if theymiraculously manage to stay alive in this new world of infection. Because now with people eating each other and some being immune, you are worth more dead than alive. -

Recently "Mark" has been having nightmares about how he "Trina, Alec, Lana, Baxter, Misty, and The Toad" escaped the flooding streets of Manhatthan when the sun flares first hit. He was recalling how the had to reach the top of the Lincoln Building in order not to drown. -

The Group of freind had to rescue each other that had been captured by a group of infected now called "Cranks" from a nearby neighborhood and bareley ascaped on their "Berg" or hover-ship but a few of the cranks managed to get on with them and "Mark" had to fight them off with a weapon called a "Transvice which causes people to dientigrate is shot by it. -
"The Kill Order" James Dashner Chapters 65-76 Pages 306-354
Most everone is either succombing to the "Flare" or dying from it and "De-De" is immune and "Mark" knows that he must get her to safety so that scientists that are stil healthy can learn from her and perhaps find a cure. This is the end of "Marks" journey. The kill order was a fantastic book.
