    ARPA

    Robert Taylor, the acting director of ARPA's research division launched the ARPANET project, which according to the internet hall of fame is the "Foundation of today's Internet"v

    Remote Connection

    In 1957 Remote Connection was used so directors could work directly on the computers and at the same time time sharing was created. This is the first concept in computer technology to share a processing power of a computer with multiple users.

    In 1957 during the cold war the first unman satellite was sent to space to orbit by the Soviet Union.

  • DARPA

    in 1958 the fear of a missile hitting Americas leading technology unfolded. In order to secure the technology America founded the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA). At this time knowledge was only transferred by people but the DARPA developed a large computer Network in order to accelerate knowledge transfer.
