James Hargreaves' spinning jenny allows one worker to do the work of eight in spinning yarn. It meant that the production line was more effiecent and allowed the employer to employ less workers. -

The first Telegraphic cable line was laid, making communication easier. This made communication much easier, and has paved the way for things like telephone lines!
