In the mid 1950’s pop art started in Britain it was different from other types of art styles. It gives an unique design for the artist who do it and it's eye catching!!!! This relates to graphic design by using ideas from magazines and other sources to create a new and improved movement to show self expression. -
1952-53
The word pop art came from artists that called themselves the independent group( Was a part of a institution of contemporary art) in London which started around 1952-53. These people used music and different types of sources and added a creative twist making it graphic design. Edouardo Paolozzi, Richard Hamilton, architects Alison and Peter Smithson, and critics Lawrence Alloway and Reyner Banham. They got ideas from all around like comic books, music, and more relating to graphic de signs. -
Modernism
Modernism came to be meaning artist follows the changes and trends in the world, by expressing themselves and how other people feel. They do this by taking something from like a comic and adding a creative twist on it. Adding something that relates to you or other people. This relates to graphic design by using different graphics from sources and adding a twist. -

The POP art movement ended and then came another movement, this movement inspire others movements to use your sources and create like by using comic books, tv shows, and etc.
