The Inca are famous for their abandoned cities in the Andes Mountains. Some major cities like Cusco and Machu Picchu, located in Peru, are major tourist attractions. Although many cities have been found, there are still many hidden in the jungles and under the desert floor. -

The incas hunt for fish. Fish was their main source because it was not as hard for them to catch. Also why it was their main source because it was most common for them. -

What they live in
The average Inca family lived in a one-room brick house. Some of the single family dwellings had wooden floors. There was no furniture at all. Sleeping and sitting was done on mats placed on the bare floor. The Incas used a variety of architectural techniques, including fired mud bricks and shaped stones covered with mud and clay. -

The Incas worshiped a pantheon of nature gods and goddesses. The incas worshiped where (The Sun God,) (The Sea Goddess,) and (The Moon Goddess.) They believed every mountain peak was either the home of a god or an actual god. They prayed to their gods everyday. -
What they dance like
Like the dances in so many cultures around the world, many Peruvian dances are couple dances that allow men and women an opportunity to socialize. Some blend elements from cultures that arrived in the country following the Spanish invasion, such as Afro-Peruvian dances. Others have roots in the rituals of ancient cultures that ruled the area thousands of years ago. -

The Inca lived in the Andes Mountains in South America. The Inca were very warlike and often attacked their neighbors to take their land. -
What they eat
The Inca ate potatoes and corn. They drank llama milk and water. The incas ate guinea-pigs for their daily protein, because they didn't have pigs, cows, sheep or turkeys. -
How the write
The Inca did not have a system of writing with letters or symbols. Instead, they used a special system called quipu (pronounced KEE-poo), tying knots in ropes of different colors. The ropes were kept on special belts that the quipu writers would always wear.
