Beginning of the Empire
The Inca empire began around 1200 but it is hard to say because they had no written language to document this event. According to legend the first Inca came out of a cave and led 3 brothers and 4 sisters to the Cuzco Valley. There they started to build their civilization. -

Inca Launguage
The language Quechua was used and gradually become a part of the empire but they had no written language. Instead, they used a form of knots tied on a stick. -

Machu Picchu is Built
The famous Machu Picchu that still stands today is built and used as a home for many of the Incan people. -
1525
The Inca civil War
The war started because the king Huayna Capac died and left the empire to his 2 sons. Their names were Atahuallpa and Huáscar, and they began to fight over the throne. -
The end of the Empire
At this point in time, the Inca had lost control of the empire to the Spanish and were forced under their control.
