    In 1525 Emperor Huayna Capac died from the plague. It was most likely smallpox brought by the Spanish conquistadors. Most of the Inca tribe died from different diseases over the next few years.

    1533 is when the spanish executed Atahualpa. They replaced this emperor with a new leader. This new Emperor’s name was Manco Inca. Manco Inca did not like the spanish ruling over him though.

    1535: Francisco Pizarro founded the city of Lima, Peru. He named this city the Capital of the region. Manco Inca became very angry with his leaders and escaped from the Spanish. He was on the run for the next nine years. The spanish executed his wife after he escaped.
