    Nazi storm troopers would stand outside all businesses and shops owned by Jews. They would paint the Star of David on the windows too. The also would put up signs saying "Don't buy from Jews."

    Law Limits Jews in Public Schools
    This law put a limit on how many Jewish kids could be in a public school. Five percent of a school's population could be Jewish. Before this law was made many Jews went to public school, but private schools before filled of Jews when it was established.
  • Book Burning

    Book Burning
    On this day, students from universities burned as many books as they could that were not German. They would burn them in bonfires and have "fire oaths." They would burn books written by Jewish, disabled, and foreign people.

    Prevention of Offspring with Hereditary Diseases Law
    This law forced people with disabilities to be sterilized. This was so they couldn't pass their genetics to their offspring. Germany wanted everyone to be the same so they tried to reduce the amount of mentally and physically disabled people in the country by sterilization.

    Editors Law
    This law made sure that only full Germans could work in journalism. Jews and people married to them couldn't pursue this career. The law required people to stop writing if the were Jewish or it would "weaken the strength of the Reich abroad or at home.”

    Rohm Affair
    On this day Hitler ordered that the SS was to kill the SA Chief of Staff Ernst Rohm. They were also directed to kill his top commanders. The Reichstag said that the killings were legal.

    Death of Paul Von Hindenburg
    President Hindenburg died from lung cancer. Because of this, Hitler becomes the new leader of Germany. Also there were no limits to his power so he could do anything he wanted.

    Hitler got rid of the Office of President and declared himself as the Fuhrer. He was also still the Chancellor though. He now had total power of the country.

    Jehovah’s Witness Organizations were banned from Germany's government. They were put into Concentration Camps. Jehovah’s Witnesses refused to stay loyal because of there religion. That is why they were hated.

    The first law was the Reich Citizenship Law. The second one was the Law for the Protection of German Blood and Honor. These laws showed that people who used to or have family who used to practice certain religion would be put in concentration camps and prisons. It was seen as a race.
