    The Schutzstaffel was a major paramilitary organization under Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party in Nazi Germany, and later throughout German-occupied Europe during World War II.

    Its creation was the sign of the revival of persecution of homosexuals during the relative calm after the 1936 Summer Olympics. This was discriminating against homosexuals.
  • The St. Louis Ship

    This is the ship that held nearly 950 Jewish people. They were on a boat fleeing from the Nazis. They were turned away from Cuba, and could not immigrate there. This was hard for the Jewish people.
  • Hitler becomes Chancellor

    Hitler became the legal official of Germany. This means that chancellor directs the staff of the Executive Council. This did not affect any group extremely.
  • Hitler claims emergencies power

    This is when the civil liberties and state powers were abolished. This caused Hitler to easily become the dictator by force.
  • Boycott of Jewish Businesses

    This was when Germany started to boycott Jewish businesses. They would ruin the stores and draw on buildings. This affected the Jewish population. This discriminated against the Jewish people.
  • Law for the Prevention of Hereditary Diseases

    The laws for the prevention of hereditary diseases were made by the German government. This restricted people with disabilities to have offspring. This discriminated against people with disabilities.
  • Law against Dangerous Habitual Criminals

    These laws stated that if someone that committed habitual crimes they would be sentenced and not know when they could get out. This affected the country of Germany.
  • Liberation of Auschwitz

    This is when the people of Auschwitz were freed. The Soviet Union freed more than 7,000 prisoners.
  • Nuremberg Laws

    The Nuremberg Laws were antisemitic and racist laws in Nazi Germany. This discriminated against the Jewish people and any race that was not white.
  • The Nazi’s Occupy Rhineland

    This is when the Nazis forced their army through Rheinland.
  • The Night of Broken Glass

    The night of broken glass is when Germans terrorized Jewish buildings. They destroyed synagogues, Jewish businesses, and killed around 100 Jewish people. This discriminated against the Jewish people.
  • Yellow Star for German Jews

    The Jews of Europe were legally compelled to wear badges or distinguishing garments. This discriminated against the Jewish people.
  • The Einsatzgruppen starts

    The Einsatzgruppen was a paramilitary death squad of Nazi Germany that were responsible for mass killings
  • Germany invades Poland

    This is when Germany invaded Poland. Hitler wanted to regain land from WW1 and have ultimate rule.
  • Auschwitz Opens

    This is when one of the major concentration camps opened.
  • Lodz Ghetto Opens

    This is when the Lodz Ghetto opened. The prisoners that stayed here were the Jewish and Roma people that lived in Poland during the invasion.
  • The Madagascar Plan was Presented

    The Madagascar Plan was a proposal by the Nazi German government to forcibly relocate the Jewish population of Europe to the island of Madagascar. This discriminated against the Jewish.
  • Babi Yar

    Babi Yar is a ravine in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv and a site of massacres carried out by German forces during their campaign against the Soviet Union in World War II.
  • The Commissar Order

    This was a demand from the Germans, and it was that if a soviet union officer was captured he shall be executed.

    This is when the last Jewish people were gassed at the Auschwitz concentration camp.

    The Wannsee Conference was a meeting of senior government officials of Nazi Germany and Schutzstaffel leaders

    Germans began the liquidation of the Zigeunerlager.

    This is when Himmler ordered to kill around six million Jewish people in the Ghettos.
  • Himmler Orders Destruction of Auschwitz

    Himmler ordered the destruction of Auschwitz because he heard the Soviets were approaching. He did this so there would be no sign of mass killing.
  • Hitler Commits Suicide

    Hitler committing suicide was not exactly clear. Not until 2008 did they confirm that they found Hitler and his new wife's remains.

    This is when 24 of Nazi German leaders were on trial for war crimes. The crimes consisted of crimes against peace, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and conspiracy to commit each of these crimes.
  • Josef Mengele Dies

    He drowned in 1979 after suffering a stroke while swimming off the Brazilian coast and was buried under the false name Wolfgang Gerhard.
