  • The Condemned

    Once Hitler and his Nazis had power, they focused on exterminating their political enemies-Communists, Socialists, Liberals, and anyone who spoke out to government.
  • The Persecution Begins

    After he takes Germany, Hitler orders all "Non-Aryans" to be removed from government jobs,
  • Jews targeted

    The Nuremberg Laws stripped Jews of their German citizenship, jobs, and property. Jews had to wear a bright yellow Star of David attached to their clothes so Nazis could identify them. Worse was yet to come.
  • Kristallnacht (Night of Broken Glass)

    Nazi storm troopers attacked Jewish homes, businesses, and synagogues across Germany. About 100 Jews were killed, and hundreds more injured. Around 30,000 were arrested and hundreds of synagogues were burned.
  • The Final Solution

    Hitler targeted Jews, Gypsies, Freemasons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Homosexuals, Mentally&Physically ill, and the incurably ill. Concentration camps, also known as labor camps.
  • The Plight of the St. Louis

    A German ocean liner that passed Miami in 1939. There was 943 passengers on board and 740 had U.S. Immigration papers, but the Coast Guard followed them to prevent anyone from getting off in America. The ship was sent back to Europe and more than half were later killed in the Holocaust.
  • Death Camps-Chelmno/Auschwitz

    Chelmno and Auschwitz are examples of concentration camps. Here Hitler's prisoners were overworked, starved, beaten, and either shot or gassed. Chelmno started operation in 1941. The gas chambers in these camps were fit to hold around 12,000 prisoners.
  • The Final Stage

    There were 3 major methods the Nazis used for mass murder. They included slaughter, starvation, and gassing.
