In the concentration camps, thousands of Germans were detained and confined. Camp Dachau was the first concentration camp for political prisoners. -
Forced Labor
Concentration camps forced Jews to work for their country by doing various hard tasks. They had to mine different stones which was back-breaking and caused scoliosis in the prisoners. -

When Germany invaded Poland in September 1939, there were a total of 6 death camps including political opponents camps like Camp Dachau. -
Ravenbruch
Ravensbruck was a concentration camp for women including Jews but mostly political opponents. There was a total of 130,000 inmates but 117,000 of them were killed. The process was kind of slow because there was only 1 gas chamber. -
Other people in the Holocaust
There were many type of people in the holocaust. You had the Jews, the polish, rabbis, gypsies, political opponents, people with disabilities, kids and even their own kind, Germans. -
Auschwitz
Auschwitz was the largest concentration camp ever made and it was the deadliest camp with 1.1 million Jews exterminated. This camp was the first concentration camp made that started Hitler's plan, the Final Solution. -

This was the beginning of the holocaust that left over 6 million Jews dead. The holocaust started in 1941 and was conducted by the chancellor of Germany, Adolf Hitler. -
Children and teens in the holocaust
Children and teens were also included in the holocaust. They were put to labor work and had to do things like clean the furnaces and chimneys since they were small enough. Dawid Samoszul was one of the kids who did labor work and said it was horrible before he was killed in the gas chamber at the age of 9. -
America, Soviet Union, and Britain Figuring Out About the Holocaust
America, Britain, and the Soviet Union was in WW2 with Germany and West Europe and when the went to battle in the West, the soldiers saw the dreadful and tragic camps and dead bodies of Hitler's master evil plan. So they alerted everyone and the whole world figured out what the Germans were up to all these years. -
Camps Being Liberated
The Soviet Union first figured about the tragic events taken place in Germany when they came by one of the camps. They liberated the camp and killed 50 Nazi soldiers. -
Hitler Commits Suicide
In 1945, Hitler realize that his plan was ruined and he lost the war so he decided to go to his bunker under his regime and he shoots himself in the head while eating cyanide poison and when everyone heard the news, they were happy.
