The Hole
This was the place where Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit, lived in. -
Introducing Bilbo
This is Bilbo Baggins, the hobbit that lives in the Hole. The Hole means house or home. -
Meeting
One morning, while Bilbo is smoking rings, a wizard walks by named Gandalf and they have friendly exchange. -
Dwarves
The next day, while Bilbo was having breakfast, hungry dwarves came to him demanding food, leaving Bilbo startled. He didn't know that Gandalf had chosen him to be a part of a journey to reclaim their kingdom and treasure stolen by a dragon. -
The Journey
The next morning while Bilbo prepares breakfast, he finds a note that says everyone had already left. He ran to catch up and they gave him his pony to ride. -
Trolls
It was getting late and they had to find and set up camp, but they lost most of their supplies and rations when their pony was swept away by a river. While looking help, they find light and send Bilbo to check it out. The light source turned out to be a trolls' campfire. Bilbo tried to steal food but was caught and the trolls argued about what to do with him. Gandalf tricked them with troll voices causing them to argue until sunrise which turned them into stone. Bilbo was set free. -
The Storm
On their way to the mountain, they can see a storm up ahead. Whey they got there, rain and thunder was pounding on them. To make matters worse, two stone giants were fighting hurling rocks every where. They found a cave and camped for the night. -
Trapped
Bilbo wakes up to find that he, the dwarves, and Gandalf are captured and are being led down a tunnel into a huge section of a cave. -
Great Goblin
In the cave, they meet the Goblin's leader, Great Goblin. He asked why they were snooping around their entrance. Gandalf said thought it was a small cave and they didn't mean to trespass. -
Death
While the goblins were checking the "trespassers" belongings, they found weapons and felt threatened. Their punishment was to be eaten by the Great Goblin. Gandalf shot a flash of light from his staff, blinding the goblins. He then stabbed the Great Goblin, killing him. -
Lost
Bilbo wakes up with an aching head and in total darkness, without his group. He feels around and finds a ring. -
Riddles
While going up a tunnel, Bilbo finds an underground lake. He is not alone. Gollum, a deformed being, was going to eat Bilbo but decided to have a riddle contest instead. -
Running
After losing, Gollum gets mad and chases Bilbo through the tunnel. -
The Wargs
Escaping Gollum and reuniting with the dwarves and Gandalf, they must now face Wargs, giant wolf like creatures. -
Fire
The wargs chase the group up the trees of their meeting spot. Gandalf however was able to light a fire on one of the wargs. -
The Eagles
Before the group is in flames, the Great Eagles save them. -
The stop
The next morning the eagles take the group farther onto the path. -
Beorn
The group meets Beorn. -
Beorn House
Beorn takes the group in and lets them stay for a few days before they leave for Mirkwood Forest. -
Mirkwood Forest
The group leave Beorn's house and keep moving. They eventually stop at the entrance of Mirkwood. Gandalf however, leaves them. -
Giant Spiders
After travelling for a while in the forest, the dwarves and Bilbo sleep, only to wake up being bounded by spiders -
The Forest Elves
Looking for food, the Dwarves find elves having a feast, but after coming towards the feast the elves hide. This happens three times, until the Elven King arrests them, but Bilbo manages to slip away. -
The Escape
Bilbo, sneaking around the Forest Elves castle, notices a trade river, so Bilbo steals the chief guard's keys and frees the dwarves. After explaining his plan, he puts them in barrels and hops in one himself. Then they are pushed into the river. -
Laketown
The barrels float to the shore near a place called Laketown. -
The mountain
The dwarves and Bilbo set out on ponies and soon reach the dwarf castle in the mountan. -
The Treasure
They find the entrance and send Bilbo down a long dark tunnel which leads into Smaug's jackpot. -
The Dragon shows himself
Smelling Bilbo, Smaug awakens and has a conversation with Bilbo. -
Laketown attacked
Smaug leaves the mountain to attack Laketown. -
Bard
While Laketown is attacked, a bowman named Bard shoots the dragon in the weak left breast, killing him. -
The castle and treaure reclaimed
Noticing Smaug is gone, the dwarves frantically rush to reclaim the treasure and castle, and the Arkenstone. -
The Battle of the Five Armies begins
While a despute between the citizens of Laketown, the elves, and the dwarves, The goblins and wargs appear and the three put aside their differences and fight. -
Thorin dies
After the battle, Bilbo finds Thorin, who is heavily wounded, and soon dies. -
Bilbo and Gandalf's journey back
Bilbo and Gandalf now begin their journey home. when they get home, Bilbo finds out that his belongings have been auctioned. After buying it all back, he and Gandalf smoke rings.
