    This year Sega have released their 1st ever at home gaming console not many people have heard about it because it was so obsolete before launch.

    Then, Nintendo came along with a new console with 8-bit graphics, in this time those graphics were amazing to everyone.

    The Atari 7800 is considered a "pre-release" because the console was announced to be released 2 years later.

    On October 29, 19 88 Sega has released the 1st ever 16-bit video game console. They only sold 40 million consoles to the public.

    In November 20, 1990 Nintendo released their next console which was called the Super NES. Then, almost a year later the console was finally released in America.

    On November 15, 1993 Atari has released their 5th generation console with new 16-bit graphics. The console was 1st released in Japan then spread throughout the world in sales. Only 250,000 consoles were sold.
  • Nintendo 64

    On June 23, 1996 Nintendo has released their 5th generation console aswell to compete with Atari's Jaguar. 32.93 consoles were sold. It also got its name because it had 64-bit graphics.

    On November 27, 1998 Sega has released their new console which was called the Dreamcast. Why it got its name was because it was the 1st gaming console with a screen on the controller. Only 10.6 million consoles were sold.

    In 1999 Sony has released their next gen console called the playstation. Sony wanted to join the competition between Atari, Sega, and Nintendo. The playstation was the 1st console to allow a 3-D world unlike the other consoles it was going up against.

    On March 4, 2000 Sony has released the next gen playstation. The play station still had the wired controller and it had a portable 8MB memory card. It was one of the 1st consoles to have a disc as the game.
  • Gamecube

    On September 14, 2001 Nintendo has released their new gaming console that was called the Gamecube. How it got its name was because the console was just a cube with a wired controller.
  • Xbox

    on February 22, 2002 Microsoft have released their 1st at home gaming console. It competed withy Sony with their Playstation 2, Nintendo with their Gamecube, and Sega with their Dreamcast. In the 1st week Microsoft sold 123,000 consoles because of the high prices.
  • Xbox 360

    On November 22, 2005 microsoft has released their next gen console. It got its name because the console is a box and it have something around the whole xbox. on March 14, 2014 it has had up to 81 million consoles sold.

    On November 6, 2006 Sony have released their next at home gaming console with 550 MHZ as the graphics and also has over 80 million units sold.
  • Playstation 4

    On November 13, 2013 Sony has released their fourth gaming console. When the console was released the sales increased by the hundred-thousands. making over $10 million on the first hour of release.
  • Xbox One

    On November 22, 2013 Microsoft has released their 3rd gaming console with the kinect sensor with release. When the console was released it wasnt the best because of alot of bugs because was rushed out to the stores.
