    The pilgrims sailed from England
    On 6th September, 1620, a group of 102 pilgrims sailed from England to America on the ship Mayflower they left England because they wanted religious and political freedom but others only left england in search of adventures.
  • The pilgrims arrived to America

    The pilgrims arrived to America
    The trip lasted 65 days but they managed to reach America.
    They saw a good place and decided to build a village there, they called the village Plymouth.
  • The pilgrims met to the Native

    The pilgrims met to the Native
    After a few months, in March 1621, the pilgims met a Native American for the first time and he introduced them to his tribe. The Nativa Americans taught the pilgrims how to grow corn, beans and pumkins. After the first harvest the pilgrims made a great banquet to celebrate it.

    In 1750, the British had 13 colonies on the east coast of North America and about two and half million colonists lived there.

    The British army and the colonists fought the French over land in North America. The French lost the war and give their territories to the British, but the British goverment asked for taxes from the colonist to pay the war, the colonists refused to pay the taxes

    Later this day became a holiday and the colonies were called United States of America (USA)

    In 1803, the French Emperator Napoleon offered to sell the land to the United States for 15 million of dollars. This doubled the size of the country.

    The expansion of the USA endangered the traditions of the natives. In the 1830s, the USA Govermment created the firs Indian territory. theirThey forced more than 15,000 Cherokee people to leave their homes and walk 1,600 km.
    Around 4,000 Cherokee people died on the way and they called this journey the Trail of Tears

    The American Civil War

    There was a lot of social and economic inequality due to slavery and the people of the South wanted to undo the union, but the president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, wanted to unite the two nations to end slavery.
    Confederate soldiers attacked the Union.
    The Confederacy is losing against the Union due to the small number of soldiers.
    The victory of the Union ended slavery and united the two countries.
