Originally used only by Harvard students the site was spread to different universities before being available to the public in 2005. While some countries may not have roads, they do have Facebook. -

A creative outlet for those to speak on topics or interests, alternative from talk radio. -

Allowing everyone to create a channel and share their thoughts on the worlds. Also helpful when you need visual instructions. -

Social media where you can spout your opinion into the abyss with the risk of being roasted by people you don't even know. Just keep it under 140 characters and don't be surprised if someone slides into those DMs. -

A place to create and share playlists with other users. -
iPod Touch + Wifi
Apple allows users to use wifi with their iPod touch allowing for on the go access to social media, expanding usage to a younger audience. -

Space for people to share media of any kind from text to quotations to artwork. Allows for people around the world to connect and share content and find others with similar interests. -
Instagram & Pintrest
With one you get to find a variety of ideas to bring to life whether it be in the kitchen, your wardrobe, your bedroom or to plan your future wedding. The other allows you to post your results whether they be terrible or average, but never the exact same as pictured. -
Snapchat
Unlike Instagram, Snapchat only allows you to share your photos and videos for a short amount of time. Over the years they have added the fun feature of filters to achieve your goal of becoming a puppy or throwing up rainbows. -
Tinder
The casual reminder of how many terrible pages you liked on Facebook when you were younger. -

A social media platform where the videos shared are as long as a person's attention span. -
