Rosen Enterprises is formed and begins to import games to America
Brought Service Games to America by importing their machines. Gave Service Games a name in America. -
SEGA is formed when Rosen Enterprises merges with Service Game, the name came from the SE is Service and the GA came from Games, forming Sega Enterprises
The iconic name is created and the company begins to gain popularity. -
Rosen sells Sega to Gulf+Western, but remains CEO of the company
Gave Sega the chance to have the oppurtinity to take risks, and it paid off well. -
Gulf+Western makes Sega Enterprises public.
Sega's name becomes a big thing all around the world as the ones who bring great games for all ages. -
Nakayama becomes CEO of Sega after Rosen resigns
Rosen leaves the company to allow someone else a chance and for the better or the worse Nakayama takes control of Sega. -
The Master System is Released in North America
Sega Master System The Master System was Sega's attempt to jump into the console market, well it didn't work as well as planned as it was released far too late to compete with the Nintendo Entertainment System. Gave Sega the confidence to release another console in a few years. -
Sega Genesis Model 1 is released is released in America

Sega Genesis Model 2 A slimmer version of the Genesis that removed unimportant pieces such as the headphone jack, the unused extension port (Was used in Japan for internet play). This is the version I grew up with and still own today. -
Sega 32X released in America
Sega 32X Considered to be the Sega killer. Destroyed Sega as people did not want another attachment for the Genesis. Didn't last more than a few years before it died out and became the laughing stock of sega. -

Sega Saturn The Sega Saturn is released and causes a big buzz in the gaming community. The system never caught on in America, but in Japan it was one of the best selling consoles they'd ever seen. -

Dreamcast The last Dreamcast was the last sega console to ever be released, today it still has a huge following with games releasing every year to this day. -
