Wisconsin Introduces it's Minimum Wage Law
Women and minors must be paid 22 cents an hour. -
Increase in Minimum Wage
The minimum wage goes up to 25 cents an hour for women and boys 17 years or older that live inside a city with a population of 5,000 or more. Everyone else gets 22 cents an hour. -
Decrease of Minimum Wage
Employers asked that minimum wage be lowered because of the Great Depression. The rate for minors aged 17-21 went to 22.5 cents in cities with a population larger then 5,000. Everywhere else it is 20 cents. -
Increase in Minimum Wage
Cities with a population of 3,500 or more minimum wage goes to 70 cents. Cities with a population of 1,000 to 3,500 it goes to 60 cents. Everywhere else it is 50 cents. -

The minimum wage for minors 16 years of age or older and women in cities with a population over 1,000 is 85 cents. Everywhere else it is 75 cents. -
