"Environmental globalization was initiated through the exchange of crops and livestock" (History of Globalization). By 901 CE, crops and livestock were introduced into new areas. The people could either begin growing or raising the plants and animals themselves, or they could resell the product to a different person who also didn't have previous access to them. Economic: Sea trade becomes popular.
"By the mid 1300s, international trade was accomplished by ocean transport" (History of Globalization). Although trade via oceans led to many diseases getting out of control, and many animals becoming extinct, it also allowed for many countries to build an economic foundation by exporting goods other nations found useful. Most nations economies are still based on the amount of goods they import and export therefore making our world dependent on the effects of gloablization.
