Henry Goddard
Henry Goddard developed the science of identifying fired bullets and empty cartridge cases, known as forensic ballistics. Henry proved that no two revolvers are made exactly the same. He showed that every weapon has characteristic marks on a bullet and cartridge shell.

Edmond Locard
Lyon police department offered Edmond the opportunity to form the first police laboratory in a few small attic rooms, where evidence collected from crime scenes could be scientifically examined. In 1912, that police department officially recognised the laboratory, then the first forensic science laboratory was officially formed.

Frances Glessner Lee
Frances used her own money to help the start of Harvard University's Department of Legal Medicine. She even then went to later on form Harvard's Associates in Police Science. Prior to Ms. Lee's help, very little training existed for forensic investigation.
