Quartz watch
The first quartz watch was introduced in the last week of 1960 in Tokyo. Its cost was 450,000 yen's (Japenese dollar) then, now equivalent to $20,000 US dollars. Quartz watches are still available but are uncommon, though people do suggest buying a quartz watch due to its good qualities. -

- Still are used now and are very common
- Though they have been "replaced" by smartwatches

The Apple Watch
The Apple watch I find the most successful smartwatch. To me, it is the most appealing and most popular. Its look is more classy and formal, the band is changeable and comes in different colours... Depending on the model you buy, they include many interesting things... from texting and calling your contacts to keeping track of your health (by collecting data). The first Apple watch was released on April 24, 2015
