    World War I begins as Austria declares war of Serbia
    The serbian member of the rebellious group, "The Black Hand," a nineteen year old assasinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand. This caused immense tension and Austria declared was immediately. This small incident caused the Great War.

    The United States was not directly involved in the war. They did although want to aid the Serbians in war because we were allies with them at the time. We sent troops over to the heart of battle and helped the Serbians resist the Austrians.

    After Germany declared itself a republic, a political leader met with a french leader and signed the Armistice that settled the fighting and ended World War 1 on november 11.

    Ghandi was a rebellious leader who very clerly protested against the British Government. He would very much encourage civil disobediance which meant he wanted citizens to refuse whatever the government told them to do. In return they would get independance.

    Kemal was a nationalist who very greatly wanted his country to become a republic. In order to do so, he gathered many nationalists and faoght against Greece to overthrow the Ottoman Sultan and make Turkey a republic in 1923.

    A march towards defeating the nationalists that consisted of 100,000 communist soldiers. Many died from cold exposure and finally after about a year, the march didn't really pay off because the civil war still continued on.
