The Great War begins
Europe was divided into two rival camps. One alliance was the Triple Entente. (Great Britain, France and Russia). The other one was the Triple Alliance. (Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy.) -
European Nations Takes Sides
By the middle of August 1914, the battle lines were clearly drawn. On one side were Germany and Austria-Hungary. They were known as the Central Powers because the location was in the heart of Europe. -
Germany Driving Back
By September 13, the Germans had been driven back nearly 60 miles. -

By early 1915, opposing armies on the Western Front, the First Battle of the Marne was perhaps the single most important event of the war. -

A new technlonogy was made and all it did was kill alot of people. The slaughter reached a peak in 1916. -

By 1917 nearly 5.5 million Russian soldiers had been wounded, killed, or taken prisoner. -

On November 9, 1918 Kaiser Wilhelm the second was forced to step down. -
The End of the Battles
On June 28, 1919 we reached the end of the battles/war. -
The Conflict Grinds to a Halt
On September 5, the Allies attacked the Germans northeast of Paris. Every soldier was hurled into the struggle.
