    Background
    The Great American Philospher of Science Helen Elizabeth Longino was born on the 13th of July 1944. Helen received her B.A. in English Literature from Barnard College and her M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Sussex in England hen her PhD from the John Hopkins University in Baltimore Maryland. She has taught at the University of California, Mills College, Rice University, and University of Minnesota before being the Clarence Lewis Professor of Philosophy at Stanford University.

    Feminist Theory is feminism but it goes further in Theoretical, Fictional, or Philosophical views. The general goal of Feminist Theory is to reach the point of gender equality. The Theory focuses on how fields of study actually set the social roles for both men and woman. Helen won the Caucus Prize in Feminist Philosophy of Science because of her book studying Human Behavior: How Scientist Investigate Aggression and sexuality.

Empiricism is based on facts, evidence, and research. Helen is doing the same thing but she is just looking at social interactions and how Social Empiricism is used in the Philosophy of Science.

Helen participates in writing many journal articles about how we take gender and put it in a hierarchy and we should be equally working together to get to a common goal. She has written 7 Journal Articles, 3 books, and has helped write chapters in 10 other books.

    Philosophy of Science is a field of study where philosophy is considered when looking at foundations, methods, and implications of science. She served as the president of the Philosophy Association from (2013-2014) and is even the first Vice President of the Division of Logic, Methodology, and Philosophy of science and Technology of the International Union of History and Philosophy of Knowledge and how it relates to Social and Cognitive Values.
