    Eastates General Meeting Called in May 5th 1789
    The Estates General Meeting was called by Louis XVI for the first time in over 175 years to help solve the economic crisis facing France. The King (Louis XVI) hopes to get more tax revenue and since both the 1st and 2nd estates don't pay any taxes they will both target the 3rd estate to pay more tax. The 3rd estate suggests things to make things better for them but they couldn't change anything because the 1st and 2nd estate always agree with eathother.
  • National Assembly Formed

    The National Assembly was formed in June 17, 1789. It was formed when the king refused to grant them more power, The 3rd estate began to meet on a daily basis and run the country without the help of the king.

    The tennis court oath is called so because after King Louis XVI learned that they are meeting in a building he locked that building so that they can not meet anymore so they went to look for another place which was a tennis court and took an oath to never seperate until a written constitution had been established for France

    Both King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were beheaded on June 21, 1793.They were beheaded because of being convicted of conspiracy with foreign powers and sentenced to death by the French National Convention.
