King Louis XVI was sentenced to death for conspiracy with foreign powers by the French National Convention. Louis XVI was executed at the Place de la Revolution in Paris by guillotine. -

Napoleons Defeat At Waterloo
The French army lead by Napoleon was defeated at Waterloo Belgium by British lead and Prussian armies. Napoleon just couldn't hold of the Prussians and they captured french land obliterating his troops.
