    Economic Troubles and Unfair Estate System
    France was in debt, because of crop failure and the weak ruler. King Louis XVI made dumb decisions and his wife Marie Antoinette bought a lot of jewelry and gifts. This caused a lot of crisis and chaos in France. France had a system that was very unfair, that was the Estate System. The 1st and 2nd estate where highly privileged, but the third estate was unfairly taxed and they barely had any money to pay for their food.

    The delegates of the third estate became determined to wield power. They wanted a fair distribution of power.

    The delegates of the Third Estates were locked in a meeting room. They broke down a door, that leads to an indoor tennis court. The delegates were pledging that they wouldn't leave unless a new constitution was formed.

    The French citizens believed that Louis was going to use military force to dismiss the national assembly. In response, they gathered weapons and they stormed the bastille to find gunpowder. They then seized control of the building.

    After the execution of Robespierre, Napoleon takes the throne and becomes the dictator of France. Right after the revolution Napoleon came. This revolution went from being an absolute monarchy to a dictatorship. There was not much progression, it went from absolutism to even more absolutism.
