The national assembly established the Declaration of the Rights of Man. This document contained the freedom of religion, separation of powers, and freedom of speech. It had all the significant details (Lists of freedom) they pursued. -
The Women's March& Inseparability from the King
The women of French invaded Versailles, and force the royal family to return to Paris. While the assembly declared constitutional monarchy which means they want inseparability from the king. -
The Constitution of 1791
The Constitution of 1791 was adopted; they would define the authority, structure, and powers of the new government, preventing the abuses and injustices of the old order. The National Assembly set the draft of a national constitution roughly. -
France declares war on Austria
Revolutionaries pursued the war to unify into a stable country. Also, they wanted to spread the ideas of revolution to all of the Europe. So, the legislative assembly declared the war on Austria. -
Louis XVI's death
Louis XVI is sentenced to the guillotine. It was the end of the French Monarchy, the new era of consitiutional monarchy started. -
The Reign of Terror
In this period, the suspected enemies against revolutionaries were executed in the Guillotine.
The Reign of Terror resulted in 20,000 to 40,000 people to death. -
A new Constitution III
A new Constitution was adopted; they established a liberal republic with a franchise based on the payment of taxes and stated that the central government retained great power that associates with the freedom.
