Seven Years War
This war was very important in the beginning of the French Revolution. This war was one of the main reasons that France became so poor. This drained the funds that the government had. I think this was one of the most important events because it is what cause France to become so poor in the beginning even though their leader was very wealthy.

Creation of the National Assembly of France
The people who were being ignored came together and created this. This was created to represent the people of France and give them a voice. They met in a room called the "assembly room". I think this is important because they were standing up for them people that weren't being heard even though Louis XVI wasn't happy about it.

Storming of the Bastille
This was when people of France stormed the Bastille so the king didn't suppress them again. They did this in order to arm themselves. There were weapons there that they could use. This is important because it made those people of France could protect themselves against the troops.

Declaration of the rights of man and the Citizen
This was their version of the Declaration of the Independence. This was a statement of what they thought France needed to stay on track. This is important because it gave people a better understanding of what France might look like.

Women's March of Versailles
This purpose of this march was to end the kings independence. This march was in favor of the nations common people and giving them a voice against the king. They wanted more power. This is important because it gave the revolutionaries confidence.

Tennis Court Oath
After being told not to assemble by Louis XVI, people moved to an indoor tennis court to meet. They pledged to "not stop until we create a constitution of France". The goal of this was to create a constitution. Again, I find this important because it had to do with the people standing up for themselves.

Declaration of war on Austria
Revolutionaries thought war would unify the country. This resulted in a war with France, Austria, and Prussia. The government wanted to spread the ideas of revolution. This is important because this threatened King Louis.

Louis XVI was no longer king but instead a prisoner. He was sentenced to death. He was killed with a guillotine. This is important because Louis XVI played a big role in Frances government, obviously.

This is the period of time in which Maximilien Robespierre was a dictator of France. He was a terrible leader and lead the nation down a terrible path. Many people challenged his leadership. This is important because he tried to justify the use of terror.

Robespierre was killed
Members of the National Convention went against Robespierre and demanded that he was killed. He was killed by a guillotine soon after. This is important because he was a terrible leader and needed to be stopped.
