Causes of the French Revolution
One of the causes of the French Revolution was the reign of King Louis XVI. King Louis was being unfair to his people and not giving them rights or a say in their government. The french people were need of food, water, and things they needed to survive and the king wasn't helping them. He was raising their taxes and eatting all the food. -
DRM Tennis Court Oath
The DRM is a document that give the rights to the people of France. The Tennis court oath happened with the people of France were told they could not be apart of the governments meetings so they went next door to a tennis court and held their own assembly making an oath that they will get the rights owed to them by the king. -

Attack on the Bastille
The storming of the Bastille was the start of a revolution. The French people were tired of being hungry and wanted revenge on the King. They were going to storm the Kings palaice. But they needed gun powder which was kept in the Bastille in the center of France. Once they broke in they would destory the Bastille and kill the head guard. -
Bread March
The bread march was formed of the women of France. They were tired of seeing their families go hungry while the King ate everything in site. They marched to his home 12 miles outside of France prepared to break in. They had knifes, pitch forks, guns, and anything they could use as a weapon. They had planed to force the king and his wife to sign the DRM. -
Royal Escape
After the bread march the people of France had forced the royal family to return to Paris where they would spend the rest of their lives. They were house arrest inside the gates of their home in Paris. King Louis felt he was losing his power. He was planing an escape with his wife and son to the closest boarder which was his wifes home country, the king had hoped to start a military compaign to get his power back. But word got out that they had escaped. He was 10 miles away from the boarder. -

King Louis the 16th was beheaded by the people of France after they felt they had been betrayed by him when he tried to flee the country during their time of need. He tried to give a speech before being killed but was drowned out by the sounds of drums. He left behind a wife and a son. The monarchy ended with King Louis XVI. He was only 38. -
The death of Marie Antoinette
Marie Antoinette was at one point the most beautiful woman in France. But as the revolution progressed her hair greyed and she looked twice her age. After her husband King Louis the 16th was killed she knew her life was ending. Her biggest fear was that she would have her son taken away from her. Which happened. The french people took the young Prince and made him forget he was ever royal. He would soon die and Marie Antoinette would soon meet the same death as her Husband. -
Reign of Terror
The reign terror happened after the King had been forced back to Paris after he tried to escape. Once he was brought back the people felt like he had betrayed his country, and took all his power away. He was now not a loud to leave the grounds of his home. The government was now killing the people who were against the revolution. -
The death of Prince Louis XVII
Prince Louis XVII was the oldest son of King Louis the 16th. Once his father was killed by the French people during the revolution the monarchy was over. The french people wanted to ensure that the monarchy would never happen again. They took the young prince away from his mother Marie Antoinette, they wanted him to forget he was ever royal, He would soon die of hunger, neglet, and being beaten.
