Fort Necessity
George Washington built a small fort on low ground. He called it "Fort Necessity". Once the frenched attacked him and his men, they were outnumbered. They held off the French until it started to rain. It soaked all the gunpowder and everything else in the fort when the water pooled around it. The French had captured Fort Necessity. -
Lake George
The British were going to attack and capture Fort St. Frederic. William Johnson had 1,500 men, and 200 Mohawk Indians with him. -
Fort Oswego
The French captured Fort Oswego on the banks of the Great Lakes -
Fort William Henry
Montcalm gets Fort William Henry after a huge battle. -
Fort Louisberg
The British capture Fort Louisberg from the French. This opened the rout to Canada. -

Fort Duquesne
The British army were going to attack Fort Duquesne. The French were aware of this so they sent out 500 men to ambush the British. They were defeated because of the French's tactics in fighting were very different and much more efficient. They hid themselves out of sight and shot at the British. -
British and Indian Peace
The British make Peace with the Iroquoi Indians. They will help them later in the war as allies. -
Fort Niagra
The British take control of Fort Niagra! This is important because once they do this, they own the whole Western frontier. -
Battle of Quebec
When the British discovered the rivers that brought all the goods to the French, they took control over them. All the supplies were cut off from that fort because it was the only way to deliver them. Seven weeks without water or food starved them and they surendered. General Wolfe had his English soldiers climb the cliffs near Quebec. In the morning, they were on flat ground near the city. Monticalm and his men were surprised when they attacked, and both Wolfe and Monticalm were killed. -
Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris ended the French and Indian War for good. The treaty said that the British had to leave the United States and created new boundaries for it.
